The subtext was "that hits near Louisiana."

Didn't they do Houston in 2010 for their last tour? I'd take that again.

I believe they did Houston. I know they did Dallas for sure. As I recall that was with Sabaton, and Seven Kingdoms?.

I wonder if the fact that this trailer focused only on Twilight of the Gods means that we'll get one trailer for each song. I certainly hope so.

BLIND GUARDIAN TALK BEYOND THE RED MIRROR IN NEW INTERVIEW; VIDEO

Skullbanger’s TJ Fowler sat down with Blind Guardian vocalist Hansi Kurch and guitarist Andre Olbrich to talk about their new album Beyond The Red Mirror. They also talk about the band’s use of choirs, orchestras, and even a little Dragonlance and Dungeons And Dragons.

That was great. I loved the Dragonlance/D&D/video game banter.

Of course, the important thing to take away from this is that they are touring North America in fall 2015!!!!!

    ...probably.

BLIND GUARDIAN VOCALIST HANSI KÜRSCH ON WRITING BEYOND THE RED MIRROR - "I REALIZED I'D NEVER FINISHED THE STORY OF 'AND THE STORY ENDS'"

Blind Guardian vocalist Hansi Kürsch and guitarist André Olbrich are featured in a new interview with Finland's Hel Rocks discussing their highly anticipated new album, Beyond The Red Mirror.

Kürsch describes Beyond the Red Mirror as "a story between science fiction and fantasy. The two worlds described have changed dramatically for the worse since then. While there used to be several passages between the worlds, there is only one gate left now: The Red Mirror. It has to be found at any cost."

On my third listen now. I was primed to hate it, having seen how a number of my friends reacted to it. But I must say, it isn't really bad at all. If you liked the direction they took with 'A Night At The Opera', then I can say pretty confidently that you will dig this. It's like 'A Night At The Opera' on epic symphonic steroids.

On the other hand, if you were hoping for a return to their early heavier power metal sound, then steer well clear. This disc is definitely NOT for you.

Oh? That caught my attention. That's my favorite BG album, and one of the only I will still spin from time to time. I've largely drifted from my once-potent love of power metal, but the hugeness of that album still holds my attention. Also Hansi, what a beast.
