Metal band A Sound Of Thunder has partnered with comic book publisher Valiant Entertainment to create a new benefit single, “Punk Mambo”, based on characters appearing in Valiant’s Shadowman comic book series and available exclusively at Humble Bundle. Available as part of Humble Bundle’s limited Humble Horror Book Bundle from October 29th through November 12th, fans can name their price to download “Punk Mambo" as mp3 and lossless FLAC digital files, alongside several prominent horror-themed comic book series – including Punk Mambo’s first appearance in Shadowman Vol. 4: Fear, Blood, And Shadows.

The Humble Horror Book Bundle supports the Rape, Abuse And Incest National Network (RAINN), the nation's largest anti-sexual assault organization, as well as the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund (CBDLF), which defends first amendment rights of comic book professionals nationwide.

Debuting in the pages of 2013’s Shadowman #13 by writer Peter Milligan (Eternal Warrior: Days Of Steel) and artist Roberto de la Torre (The Death-Defying Dr. Mirage), Punk Mambo is the ageless bon vivant spirit guide to New Orleans’ nocturnal protector Jack Boniface – aka Shadowman. Equally adept at cracking skulls and wielding curses, Valiant’s most mysterious practitioner of the voodoo arts steps into her very first solo adventure this November in Punk Mambo #0 – an all-new one-shot tale from Milligan and artist Robert Gill (Armor Hunters: Harbinger).

"All of the band members are into comics to some degree, and we've embraced sci-fi, fantasy and supernatural subject matter in our songs,” said A Sound Of Thunder guitarist Josh Schwartz. “Teaming up with a comic book company was a no-brainer for us, and is a dream come true on some level. I remember buying issues of Shadowman off the rack when I was a kid, and have been reading all of Valiant's titles since they returned in 2012. In my opinion they are hands down the best superhero comic’s publisher in the business. Valiant's commitment to quality and their close relationship with their fans are virtues that we also strive for as a band, so in many ways they are the perfect publisher to partner with A Sound Of Thunder."

A Sound Of Thunder released their fourth full-length album The Lesser Key Of Solomon on September 9th via the band's own Mad Neptune Records. The album debuted at #39 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart.
