Seriously? And I mean the production, not the music... I think Megadeth's kick sounds, while not terrible at all, not-so-good.

Again, don't compare the songs, but the production.

I'm not a troll and I didn't bother reading through your boring lectures either, who do you guys think you are? my dad? lol we can play the 'you type something mean, I type something mean' game all day long if you want.

Like I said above this is the part where the nerds lynch up and use the unpopular board member to "bond with each other". I've obviously struck a nerve with you guys because deep down you know I'm right in what I'm saying. Admit it, you know I'm right. You've been pussified by your boy-band like approach to producing metal. I bet you listen to Coldplay on the side.

I came here for advice, if you dont like my personality tough shit, I'm not putting my dick in you so you dont matter.

I'm very, very grateful for the advice I've received so far and I've been trying to put it into practice. I've even offered to PAY for advice. What part of that dont you understand? I've said thank you several times already!

Yes I seriously think Megadeth's track Polaris owns that gay-ass band with their Twilight looking video and generic screamo vocals. You think that's heavy? It sounds like shit. Rust in Peace is a fucking masterpiece, nothing can top that album for me, nothing.

Man how can you even compare an emo band like that to Megadeth's masterpiece? Are you on drugs?

Don't get me wrong, there's things I like and don't like about both. But if I had to pick one, and only one of those that I could listen to, and had to pick right now, without much thought, it would be the Megadeth track. Just a gut reaction, so a matter of personal taste I guess. :) But don't lump me in with Mr. Doofus there.

Dude, just go the fuck away. You know nothing and you will never amount to anything in the industry. I have been there and I am still doing it. Problem is you have no idea who the fuck you are actually talking to.

    You are obviously a poser

Man, of all the bands to compare to Megadeth you pull up that emo sounding crap? I'm not attacking you bro but c'mon seriously. There is simply no contest. That pop sounding garbage sounds like everything else right now. There's a million bands who look like like that, play like that, sound like that, it's BORING. It's so uniform and stock. You dont even have to introduce me to any of their other songs, I've heard that one so I've pretty much heard them all!

Megadeth's Rust in Peace is the greatest speed metal album ever made bar none, it sounds perfect. We're so frustrated, we can't find any engineers with the balls to help us get that "we dont give a fuck" sound from the 80's. Did you all choose to get old or something? This isn't who you are, deep down inside you're still metal why are you denying it?

I really REALLY like the songs on Endgame but the production sounds gay for all the reasons I've mentioned in this thread. It sounds like Dave Mustaine playing through a VST plug in with a drum machine backing him up. Dave has great tone man, why did he abandon it for that uniform sound? He invented thrash metal, what is he thinking!

This is so devastating for my ears. My big bro introduced me to his albums and man when I heard those things I knew what I wanted to do with my life. I'm in my twenties and my generation has done NOTHING for metal, nothing!!! I feel ashamed of my generation. If you guys lived through the 80's then you're VERY lucky to have had that experience and I envy you

Comparing any band from 2000 onwards to Megadeth's masterpiece is like comparing NSYNC to Beethoven! It's been years of apathetic fake metal with self pitying lyrics and self defeating attitudes and I'm sick of it, that isn't metal it's pussydom! That's just a bunch of snotty nosed wimps abusing metal. You think that band is brutal and heavy? I'm not impressed man, they're trying way too hard to be heavy.

It's no wonder kids cut themselves these days, engineers polish this apathetic shit so it sounds like pop-music and justify self harm in turn. PLEASE BRING BACK REAL SOUNDING METAL

Oh man there's that Slayer song, yeah that's what I'm talking about right there, that horrible fizzy heavy-metal viagra sound. That song could've been epic but no they had to ruin it with fake-loudness, Slayer doesn't need fake-loudness they're SLAYER what are they thinking!!! I can only enjoy that song when it's played live.

I dread to imagine what heavy-metal music will sound like in 5 years time, what the fuck will be next!

Antisocial, congratulations for still having a beating heart and a functioning set of ears. Now get the fuck off this forum while you still can because your views will not be met with kind ears.

Guitarguru, whether Psychopathy Red sounds "better" than the older stuff or not doesn't matter worth a damn because it's a hunk of shit that doesn't have any right to exist.

Yes, music IS at the risk of losing its humanity with modern recording techniques. No, editing and digital recording methods aren't immediately the devil just for existing.
It's like saying a screwdriver is an evil tool because it has the potential to be used to stab someone's fucking eye out, get a grip.

Long story short: All parties involved here are fucking idiots, including myself for even bothering to post.

pmsl I'm a complete stranger to you, how the FUCK would you know what I'll amount to in the future? Do you have "psychic powers" too Mr Oh So Significant? Dont make me laugh you vagina! I'm very happy with what my band has achieved so far, I couldn't want for more.

You've obviously been listening to gay metal for so long it's turned you gay in turn, you've been pussified by that boy-band metal crap you've been measuring your recordings up to, haven't ya. C'mon admit it

At least you have some good taste left, that show's hope for your soul. Listen to the good stuff and become a man again, you have a pair of balls dont neglect them. Dont turn into another girl.
