Necros Christos EP.
A Saunter Through the Shroud EP by Morbus Chron.
I feel silly for waiting so long to hear this album out.
I have listened to this album many, many times
and yet I couldn't, for the life of me, tell you what any of the songs after "Elfstone" sound like
The same as the rest of their shit.
I summarize them for you:
1. Synth intro.
2. verse- synth+drums machine+guitars
3. catchy chorus
Repeat 2 and 3 until you hit 10 minutes.
Beyond Dawn - Pity Love
And then they released a bunch more albums that did the same thing, but not as good.
yeahhh, gotta say the novelty really wore off for me over the years. the first two songs on dol guldur are their absolute peak for me so it's funny pompey made that comment.
Their next three albums house some of their finest work.
They're the first ambien-black metal band.
They're way too bombastic to be ambient. It's basically power metal played by a black metal band... with funeral doom song structures... and honestly, I think they did a very good job with that on Dol Guldur, even if all the songs have the same structure. It was original and they found some great melodies and hooks. However, I didn't need five more albums where they did the same thing with increasingly less inspiration.
(To be fair, I haven't listened to the newest, so maybe there are some radical shifts in the that one!).
man my wife did bizarre shit when she was on ambien and it didn’t put her to sleep. Weird times. She never remembered any of it.
