    I am getting totally destroyed by Summoning's "Stronghold." After about 10 years of reading how great they are, I finally got this album and holy shit. It's been a long time since I have been this impressed with an album.

    Yeah, the new Ensiferum is pretty fucking awesome from the couple of listens i've had online. I've pre-ordered a signed copy from Newberry Comics.

    In Flames had some really awesome guitar parts but a terrible melodeath vocalist and some other factors kept them from being really amazing. If I had to listen to an album it'd be The Jester Race but I mostly just listen to like 5 or 6 songs over and over.

    Martin Lacroix did the art. It's death metal, complete with a 20 minute closer featuring Luc Lemay; it's fairly diverse and well-written, definitely one of the nicest surprises I've had this year.
