you should really check out Isms. I like it better than Psychoscout
I dig a lot of jazz, but I love Bitches Brew.
Thirded. Then I add Herbie Hancock
right on, Herbie Hancock's Head Hunters = essential! it's a jazz funk classic.
the version of Watermelon Man on there is great times.
MAHAVISHNU ORCHESTRA YOU FAGGOTS! Seriously listen to them, you are all becoming shittier by the minute since you haven't heard this legendary group. How shitty can you really become?
o c'mon man
nice porn music
Brand X - "Unorthodox Behaviour"
Phil Collins is so damn smooth on the skins.
Yep. Brand X really lets Phil open it up on the kit.
I like this.
My rec would be Gary Willis Band, Bent or No Sweat. Bent is probably the better of the two. Nice twisted funky jazz fusion. Both albums feature Dennis Chambers on drums. There's hardly anything up on youtube though.
i feel like he is still very disciplined with Brand X. it's not like he's going all billy cobham. its just different. sort of like a jazz explosion but still contained. very different from the discipline of the cinema show, but he's not exactly jamming.
I'll second Love Supreme/Kind of Blue/Blue Train/Black Saint and the Sinner Lady/Bitches Brew/Solo Monk. Then I will check out some more of this shit.
Want a little metuhl-ness in your jazz?
I believe the entire album is on youtube.
More from 2010...very accessible and catchy stuff here:
this is all ive heard from the album but sounds like some good driving music.
Listen. To. Blue. Train.
A bit tangential, but have any of you fuckers ever tripped to jazz? That is to say, gotten onto some incredible acid and then thrown Bitches Brew onto the record player. Man...
Coltrane is King. I own about 20 of his albums. A true LEGEND.
Henry Rollins interview about Jazz. I didn't know he was such a fan.
