Ultimately I do hope to travel from NY to Frisco. I've been reading On the Road - it'd be hard for be to hit the states and not take that course of action, cliche as it might be (65 years after the original publication, it's hard to help).
Yes, when I first arrive, I'll be travelling N-S, but on my way out, I hope to do the E-W thing. Plus Canada. Or at least, that tiny, tiny bit of Canada worth visiting.
hahhha, that book still has the same effect on people I see.
did the same thing when I read it in my early 20's ... road trips from NY To New Orleans.
west coast up and down, driving from San Fran to Tijuana ... to Vegas ...
didn't find myself
Hahaha, awesome work Lurch. I aint doin' it to find myself - I figure I'll probably never figure that much out. But travel is definitely a step in the right direction.
Some bint still has my copy of that book Mr Kerouac had just got down to San Fran and somehow she convinced me she needed to read it sooner than I did.
I've had to revise my plans a little as LIFE keeps getting in the way of AWESOME.
I'll be in the US for 3 weeks, probably starting mid-May. Planning on travelling around as much as possible, with the intention of moving there at the end of next year. I'll be in California, NY, Louisiana, Texas and probably Tennessee and Kentucky. Who's up for beers?
Kentucky it's a dry state and can't buy booze on weekends, just fyi haha
