Depressive Rock? Katatonia, Green Carnation. I'll have to think on this more.

Of course, mid-era Porcupine Tree. Same with me....I'll look in my music collection, and post maybe 2 or 3 other bands in Anathema's style.

Try In the Woods, a now defunct band. Pre-Green Carnation days. There's about 4 albums but, their best is "Omnio." Tchort ex-bass player for Emperor on the album "In the Nightside Eclipse", is the founder of In the Woods and Green Carnation. This might be comparable. It depends on your ear.

Judgement is my favorite Anathema release as well followed closely by Alternative 4. Anathema is a pretty unique band but a few suggestions would be,
Porcupine Tree - In Absentia, Stupid Dream
    Riverside - Out of Myself
    all Katatonia
Green Carnation - The Acoustic Verses

Aw. I was beaten to saying Riverside.

Check out Antimatter and Íon too, I'm surprised they weren't the first bands to be mentioned.

Some Novembre is kinda similar I guess.
