I know Shadow Gallery just played in 2013, but that would get around the visa lag issues and they had been on open invitation for years before that, so I'd be fine with an exception.

If you're going to get a quick prog replacement from the U.S. then they would be my choice.

Beyond the visa lag times, I don't think the band are still active. They're at the very least on indefinite hiatus and gave every indication that they're over.

But seeing Pantommind live would be a life highlight.

I'm not as much of a fan of them as others were, but it is still a bummer.

As for a replacement, I'm still hoping that Hammers Of Misfortune plays the fest at some point, tho I doubt this will be the time.

Where did you hear this? From what I've seen recently they still seem to be active, and their new disc kicks golden ass! In saying that, I don't think even Glenn could pull off this massive coup, at least this year.

Pantommind's new album is indeed amazing. It was my album of the year at the time it was released and is still very much a 2015 favorite of mine. However, although the album was completed recording at the time of this announcement in April 2013, the decision seems rather final.

I don't know if the band will ever come back, as the drummer seems happy doing what he's doing now (also, he now lives in Alaska), and the band never got the success they deserve and the time and effort to keep them going may not seem worth it. (A friend of mine who lives in the Balkans had hinted around 2011 or so that Searching For Eternity would most likely be their last album.)

To me, it would be worth it. Their music means a lot to me.

That really sucks, but I'm sure we'll end up with something equally cool as a replacement. This happens every year, and so far it's never been a calamity.

I could easily see that working out well. I'd be satisfied to see them live instead.

You know who else I just thought of?

Native Construct at PPUSA would be killer. Glenn is a huge fan.

Pantommind announced what appears to be a breakup in April 2013 from their drummer's official page. However, the album was finished recording and so it was eventually released as you know.

Really bummed about this. I was looking forward to seeing them. Haven't had a chance to talk to Steve who we'd like to sponsor now.

Best wishes to Kim Olesen that he can get a handle on his health concerns. :(

Enchant is American and touring. So a possible replacement. Also a damn good band. I really enjoyed their last PP performance.

Panic attacks are scary as shit, believe me. I've been on medication for a couple of years, and while it's pretty much completely under control, there is always the chance of an unknown external stimulus that has to factor in. It got so bad at one point I was getting dry heaves from worry and stress. He made the right, but disappointing decision.

However, that opens up the door for another prog band, perhaps to one north of the US, one who made their debut here on this board back in January...
