Any bands like Slayer?

    My brother and I have yet to find another band that truly sounds like Slayer (old or new bands). We mostly care about the guitar chord progressions and the drums. Also we are talking about older Slayer (reign in blood, South of heaven seasons in the abyss, hell awaits.. ).

    Insane reminds me of early Slayer with a lower tuning.

    For whatever this is worth: Lamb of God, that mid 2000's period, on Ashes of the Wake had a whole bbbbbunch of Slayer influence directly in the riffs. It's done in great enough taste that I'm confident mentioning it here in this post.

    This is Havok. Really good thrash band with a lot of Slayer influence, but they have enough of their own sound that they don't sound rehashed.
