Just discovered Arkona on Youtube, and all I can say is "HOLY SHIT!!!" I would love to see them live.

really? you just discovered them? They have gotten weaker with each disc for me. I really like the early stuff more. The singer Masha is great but I dont really get into thier beliefs....

What beliefs are those? Good band, and yeah I prefer their earlier stuff.

On Facebook I have seen the singer join anti gay groups and they are not big on the whole race mixing thing too. This is just an observation. Look up the singer on facebook and look at the groups she supports and you will see. Still a very talented band though.

Agree that musically, though, they are quite good. I only have one album...whose name I cannot remember, but it's a recent release.

Butterfly Temple are also really good. They have lots of disc though and some are pretty hard to get now.

I am going off of what Masha has said in interviews and seeing what groups she has joined on Facebook.

Thanks for posting this as I was totally unaware this was in the works. It will be interesting to see if they put a new twist on any of these songs, especially "Rus", which still manages to remain my favorite song by the band. I like all their albums so this new disc, even if it is just a re-recording, piques my interest.
