Fake or real?
fake and gay
Actually, she seems to have figured out how to yodel in chest voice.
A little old lady
A little old lady who?
Wow, I didn't know you could yodel.
If that isn't actually auto-tuned there will be a huge line of rappers trying to learn her secrets.
Does not compute.
I actually think that's pretty cool (voice flipping etc).
Kinda like those birds that mimic chain saws and car horns etc...
Probably the new way to learn singing, by trying to sound like your radio idols...incorporating the autotune artifacts into the actual performance, lol
She seems to have quite a good voice. Sounds like she's got very good control even though the original posted video seems to exaggerate it..
Yeah there's a girl at my little brothers school who used to do that, although not as extreme. She'd learnt to sing listening to massively auto-tuned pop and therefore sang in perfectly even individual notes with a weird digital sound to it. Luckily she got over it and is just a really good singer now.
The first clip was a bit funny, but the second i totally dig that. It's like super precise wailing No gliding in between notes there haha.
Irish singers have this feature in their singing as well
This boggles our minds because we are simply not used to singers singing on pitch and having total control over their voices anymore. It was really only a matter of time when kids started to sing "tuned".
Can't wait until it's released as a plugin
thhought the same lol
If that first video isn't auto-tuned, then all I have to say is.... WITCH!!!!!!
Sometimes it's funny to notice "autotune artifacts" in records where they just can't happen
Actually, noticed this a few days ago. Rob's cords sound so much like the autotune artifact at 2:07-2:08, on 'Weeere free":
Must've been big old analog tube+tape autotune dated back in 1975
It seems like yodelling to me, listen to that. But her dad has 100% perfect pitch as well ... fishy.. pay attention to the ending
Totally hear it But damn awful vocals..
Back to topic.. There are ppl with perfect pitch and can sing very good, so im guess that's what we are hearing here. And what ppl been saying that its kind of a yodel technique. Pretty awesome though. Would probably be good for any singer to know the technique, to like wail perfect in between notes instead of sliding.
It's very interesting in terms of singing, but as it is, I honestly think it sounds as shit as actual autotune artifacts do. Used very sparingly, it could work in live situations, but even in those Rihanna and co. would just use Autotune, right?
I'd imagine she'd use her talent best as a street musician. Hearing that absolutely live would give her my change at least
Yeah, it's just sort of a novel party trick. I imagine her best hope is to get label attention b/c of the novelty.
I actually really dig this but I'm into yodelly type folksy shit in general.
I'd love to see her as a busker, would definitely drop a dollar or two in.
