Its a great song. I have an ASL class (American Sign Language), and we had to sign a song for a project. I chose Metaphor and it was epic lol.
System, great intro, fantastic ending, good live song. A lot of songs on this album that I like, Minus is another superb song that deserves to be played more often live.
This was going to be a toughy from the start for me. R2R was my first InF album ever, and on top of that I had heard Cloud Connected then Trigger back to back. Needless to say that began my addiction. It's really tough to decide between the two, but I have to go with Cloud Connected. The synth just gives such a sexy feel to it, even though Trigger is just so amazing, Cloud Connected gets it for having gotten me into it to begin with.
Trigger. Holy shit, great headbanger. RtR and Free Fall after that. For some reason I really liked Metaphor too.
1st off, I'm a big Old In Flames person. However I really like Reroute to Remain. It's underrated. It's the first one to be considered a "sellout" album. I don't care anymore though because it's still really good for In Flames. It's a reminisce of older In Flames between the old and new albums, which makes sense since it was the first "overly experimental" album. I voted Dawn Of A New Day. Think about it. It has a lot of elements of old In Flames. The way Anders sings is like how he used to sing back in the day. Just listen to maybe Square Nothing or Ordinary Story. Low pitch singing. And the song is absolutely acoustic. In Flames did a lot of acoustics back then. The melodies are also very old-school sounding. It has that swedish-sounding melodies. Then you got those drum machines in the background in the verses, something you'd probably get from ClayMan. Dawn Of a New Day is definently my favorite. It easily could have been a ClayMan track. Too bad I don't think I'll ever hear something like this again from them.
Free fall, it was the first song that i heard by In flames, still it's one of their best new songs in my opinion.
Wow, Cloud Connected for sure! It seems like many people aren't considering it. It's awesome as hell. Seems to me that most of the songs sound very similar on this album, it's really one of my least favorites, no matter what others say. But Cloud Connected is among my fav Post-Clayman in flames songs.
I completely disagree. It was superb when they opened the show with it. It sounded awesome. One of the most CD-like songs they played! At least in mpls.
I'm not going to choose the title track or Cloud Connected because those are obvious, so I will choose Dismiss the Cynic. I really like the riff.
