Considering the thread you are posting in, it can be surmised without even listening that the answer is obviously "no."

I think he was making fun of HamburgerBoy, who often claims that black metal is "riffless". Meanwhile praising some chugfest elsewhere.

Blazebirth Hall recommendations? I enjoy what I've heard from Branikald, Forest, and Raven Dark.

I was actually going to tag you because I thought I remembered you talking about BBH recently, but I wasn't sure. I'll check these albums out. Cheers.

I'll post my own shit here. Are the riffs any good?[/QUOTE]

Don't really listen to black metal, but listened to it at somepoint ,sounds like the old school norwegian stuff, sometimes people don't get the old school extreme metal.

Is Det Som En Gang Var by Burzum not a riff heavy song?

I've been a fan of the weirdo "industrial" black metal bands for a while now (Blut Aus Nord, The Axis of Perdition etc.)

I liked Spektr's old stuff, but I think they came into their own with The Art to Disappear. Really riffy too.

New Summoning in January. Half of you would be excited, half won't. Idk, I think I'd always check for this band.

Bought that album a little while back. I'd agree with the atmospheric tag.
