Picked this one up and boy what a monster disc this is. This is just good rock and roll. Solid songwriting with Reb from Winger on Guitars and the return of Robin McAuley on vocals. I have always been a fan of both guys and think both are overlooked at times. Robin has a incredible voice - raspy but can hit the notes and always full of melody. He has not lost a step at all. Reb is a monster guitar player. If all you know is Winger Seventeen - do yourself a favor and pick up everything from PULL on. Winger is a monster band and still puts out incredible discs. Reb has some really good solos and guitar work on this Black Swan Album If you are a fan of just old school rock and roll with an 80's feel to it - yes that includes a couple of mandatory ballads - this is highly recommended. The ballads are fantastic on this disc. Production has a raw feel to it but it fits the music. Great disc
This could've been a monster release back in 1988....awesome stuff. I guess I shouldn't have expected any less from half of the team that produced "Erase The Slate", arguably Dokken's last great album. McAuley sounds absolutely fantastic....the dude still has some serious pipes.
