Good work Dan, one of my favorite albums, guitar was tuned in freggin G... along with the process of making the guitars sounding like that..with who knows what combination of amps.

I'm a really huge BLOODBATH fan as well, though I do like the mini-CD a bit more than the album.
Between Bloodbath & Infestdead I think it's safe to say that Dan is probably THE ABSOLUTE BEST riffmonger in Metal today. I really hope he'll do more brutal Death in the future.

On a side note, I think "Incantation" from Crimson II is one goddamn incredible song - one of his all-time best!

Yes, Bloodbath is awesome.. Resurrection Through Carnage has some of the heaviest sounding guitars I've ever heard ! I like that Dismember style guitar sound.

Dan, could you enlighten us as to what equipment was used for the guitars ?

    Bloodbath rules all.

Was the guitar tuned DOWN to G? How would that even be possible? I'd think once you tune it so low, the string would be too loose to pick up much tone.

I transcribed the whole album, and let me assure you, it's not tuned to G. It's all in B, except for the last song, which is in A.

Well, either that, or my ears are fucked more than I thought ;)
