Nice one. I actually find Serge Fiori's voice similar to Camel's vocals, which we all know is Mike's fav band so he might be interested.

I'd buy him a bunch of Jakob and Cog records. Brilliant bands right there. And when it's out, I'd get him Blatherskite - Where The Wasteland Ends Part 1 and a bunch of other awesome local bands CDs.

Probably Perdition City or Shadows of the Sun by Ulver.

Either that or maybe some cd with Wolves in the Throne Room like someone already said.

THE gold plated album currently attached to the Voyager spacecraft, floating out of the edge of the solar system. But I suppose you couldn't "buy" it.

Actually, I think that a trip to Amoeba Records with either Mike or Steven would be one of the great joys of all time.

Tell ya what Mike, next time the band is in San Francisco, come out to Amoeba, and I'll buy ya something :D

Something from Portishead. Either the self titled album or Third.

to those willing to buy Mike a good album deserve top notch Opeth releases in the future.\

for those who pass with greedy hearts, deserve many let downs to come, dispair, desolation, fear, depression, anxiety, and weightlessness.

Psycroptic - The Scepter of the Ancients

These guys have some intense guitar and vocals. I think they use metal screams/grunts in a way that is harder to find in the metal scene, and they do it well.
