    New Circus Maximus EP

    ----------------------------------------------

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE!!
It is time for some new music! ‘Isolated Chapters’ EP is out!!
2 unreleased songs we never got to finish during ‘The 1st Chapter’ & ‘Isolate’ era is finally seeing the light of day.

The first ideas for ‘Phasing Mirrors’ was written after the release of ‘Isolate’ in 2007.
The sound and some of the parts are based on the song ’Mouth of Madness’.
It is not a direct follow up, but it could fit the darkness that is the ‘Isolate’ album.
It was later suppose to the be a bonus track on the ‘Nine’ album, but the sound and style did not fit and the song was put on hold. Then after many years we listened to the pre-production and decided that we had to finish it.

‘Endgame’ started with the idea of doing a follow up to one of our most beloved songs from ‘The 1st Chapter’
The one and only ‘Glory of the Empire’
Several parts are re-used in a somewhat different approach. The lyrics are again based on a specific movie/television series.
The drums were recorded during the ‘Nine’ sessions but the rest of the band was recorded many years later.

    ----------------------------------------------

I'm enjoying Endgame a lot - plenty of "Glory of the Empire" references. Easily the best song they have released since Isolate.

Phasing Mirrors is OK, but nothing special.

My only small complaint is the price - $9.99 for a 2-song EP!?

Neither of these really blow me away, but, hey, it's new music.

Perhaps this is an attempt to win back some old fans after rethinking the direction of their last studio effort....? Hopefully they will go back to the style that put them on the map in the first place.

I agree. Havoc was such a disappointment. I much prefer the style of the first 3 albums.
