You do know there's an awesome new band called Burning Saviours out now right?

Of course, man! I was a little late to the party with that album, but I PLANNED to get it since it's release. For me it was Witchcraft first.

You heard Earthflight from Germany? I hear them talked about by the same people.

I've heard of the band, but never checked them out, actually.

You know what rules? I never heard Pentagram til after I'd heard Witchcraft and Burning Saviours, but it was still immediately apparent that the original FUCKING STEAMROLLS the "copies" (used loosely because neither of them sound like exact copies)

    3 great bands though.

Pentagram, Saint Vitus, and Black Sabbath = the holy trinity :worship:

Track "The Church Within" before anything else, it's the best thing Wino ever did. St. Vitus is another chapter (and their best albums were not with Wino)

One of them was...Born Too Late is a masterpiece in the genre as far as I'm concerned, though I agree that Saint Vitus and Hallows Victim are better than anything after Born Too Late. That doesn't take away from the quality of the material, however, and I still think Wino was the best vocalist in Saint Vitus.

"Born Too Late" is my least fav. St. Vitus album. I don't say that it is not great, but i'll never understand why people prefer it than any other St. Vitus album.

I'd say the weakest is C.O.D. It's a totally different style of Doom, and I find that some parts drag a bit too much. It's just too bad Hallows Victim was never officially released on CD.

    "Let me out
    Sorry son
Commit a crime - pay the price

Death row - What's that - 'No stay?'
    Oh! Ok I'll tell him

    Dead man walking

    We've all been detained
    For the crimes we've committed
    They stayed execution
    But we'll never get acquitted
Waiting for the day when they strap us in
And when they pull the lever
    Hear the goddamn screams
    Shake with fear
    Electric chair

    We're all inside
    Homocide related
    They'll show no mercy
    But we don't anticipate it
    We move a little closer
Every day to meet our maker
    They cover up our face
And then they close the circuit breaker
    Oh! No!

    Shake with fear
    Your time draws near
    Oh! No! - I won't go
You'll never get me down to
    Death row

    Oh come on man
    Give me a break
I made one mistake, that's all it takes

    I ain't that bad
    I ain't done nothing wrong

    Shake with fear
    The end is near

    Oh! No! - I won't go
You'll never get me down to
    Death row
Oh! No! - They're taking me slow
One way ticket to death row

    So what's the matter son
    Too young to die
    Take it like a man
    Don't cry Ah! Ah!

    Ahh!

    Oh! No! - I won't go
You'll never get me down to
    Death row

    Say a prayer, best beware
It's not very nice in the electric chair

    Oh! No! - I won't go
You'll never get me down to
    Death row

Oh! No! - They're taking me slow
One way ticket to death row"
