About 15-20 seconds before then end, it sounds like Ric Flair!

...while the delivery is a bit over the top (and who would expect less from Diamond Dave) this is a great performance. Back in the day before pro tools and autotune and all the rest...anybody there who has tracked vocals can attest this guy is bringing the goods.

He was never about being a good singer. He was about being a good front man. A good entertainer.

Gimme this dude in this time period over about 95% of vocalists today.

Could not have said it any better. Dave is a brilliant performer and arguably the most effective front man of all time. Plus, you're doing something very right in managing your career when your guitarists include EVH, Steve Vai, and Jason Becker (not to mention Billy Sheehan).

DLR owns the stage...it's that simple. Nobody before him & nobody since has mastered it like he has. Showman extraordinaire.

QFT! I saw VH on the Fair Warning or Diver Down tour and Dave was amazing. He sat at the edge of the stage with a bottle of Jack and told stories and everyone was hanging on his every word. He was the best of the best front men of all time.
