Haha!! So am I.
The bass player in DF, Fred, use to be in an awsome powermetal band called Heavenly. He played guitar and his work in Heavenly is some of my favourite in the PM genre. He left Heavenly to play bass for DF, where he gets pretty much fuck all attention.
watch it at about the 3:50 mark for a very brief view of his thoughts on Heavenly
Makes more money
Plays bigger shows
Tours the world
Lots of girls
I think I know what I would pick And Im sure he's getting A LOT more attention being in Dragonforce then he did in Heavenly.
Mind you, I think Heavenly rule and are way better than Dragonforce but I dont blame him for joining Dragonforce! Good on him!
Heavenly win the contest for worst band name though...just by a bit.
Can't argue with that.
Great name! Love the band. Love all their albums! hah-hah.
I think Heavenly are lame. The first time I heard Sign of the Winner I laughed so hard, for so long, that I almost cried.
They rip off a lot of bands, but they're not lame. At least when they rip off bands they do it well (although I'd now consider Sign of the Winner to be their weakest album; although the production on the first doesn't stand the test of time). Dust to Dust is brilliant and I think Virus is fantastic as well.
I can understand why you'd laugh; I think if you're not fully into the genre then it can seem that way. Same with bands like Freedom Call too.
Sign of the Winner is TEH FUCKING WINNAR!! One of the best powermetal releases I've heard. The atmosphere on that album created by the energy and the simple melodies is awsome!
Either way, I'll take Heavenly over DF any day.
I don't really care about either band but yeah that sounded sarcastic.
freedom call are terrible.
Just thought i'd introduce myself seeing as a few of u were asking who replaced Jack Lukic from VP.
My name is Christian Nativo and i'm the new drummer for Vanishing Point.
We recently got off the road with Dragonforce and we had a killer time. Thanks to everyone who came out early to see us.
Welcome Christian. Big step up from PTB. Wish you all the best with VP. It's great to hear they found a great guy to fill the void.
Welcome to the forums mate!
Yeah g'day Christian, nice to see you here. Don't be afraid to return!
Any VP local gigs in Melbourne planned?
Hey Christian, welcome and have fun in the forums.
Seconded (and don't do it whilst I'm overseas!!!)
