"...Dream Theater has announced the third and final leg of their Images, Words & Beyond 25th Anniversary Tour, which sees the pioneering group celebrating the 25th anniversary of their milestone RIAA gold-certified album, Images & Words. The trek takes the band throughout the US, including dates at NYC’s Beacon Theatre and L.A.’s Wiltern, as well as a stop at the Sony Centre in Toronto. Cincy is a fully seated theater. Are the rest of the venues the same way? I understand that for the "Astonishing" performance, but for this that seems odd..... Not that I would miss this, but not looking forward to someone sitting behind me bitching that I'm standing the entire show.

The Merriam in Philly is the same. They usually have Musical traveling casts.

Didn't Atlanta get the Astonishing tour? At least that's something. They haven't set foot in New Orleans in 17 years.

Yep. And the numbers for that show didn't justify a return trip this soon.

Atlanta can blame itself for this one.

On the bright side, thanks to Glen, we get Portnoy & Co to do the AA suite in its entirety. Not quite on the level of I & W, but still pretty good considering DT hasn't done several of those songs since their respective albums. In particular, I'm looking forward to seeing This Dying Soul live.

I was going to travel however long it took to see this show. It'll be full circle for me after being super lucky to have seen them tour this disc in 92. Turns out I only will be driving 15.2 miles. Cincinnati rarely gets anything but the Taft theater is perfect for them. Now I'm waiting for tickets to go on sale...

Just got my ticket for the Nashville show. Only downside is they are playing at the War Memorial. Seating is horrible there...but I'll be standing.

WTF? War Memorial ticket site states: "The Astonishing is undisputedly the most ambitious undertaking by a band whose cerebral compositions already define the vanguard of progressive hard rock. “This is the next natural step in our evolution,” declares longtime frontman James LaBrie. “This is a pinnacle moment for us. This is something we had to do.”

I think someone didn't get the memo about I&W.

After just seeing Gojira and Opeth this is my recommendation....get the floor section or if you get the balcony....the first row or last row. There is literally no leg room in the middle rows and no room to walk out. My knees were touching the back of the seats in front of me and I'm only 5'8".

OK great. I'm in the front row on the balcony. I'd be pissed with no leg room because I'm not a small guy.

Found out today, via a Capital One credit to my account that the Nashville show is off. The ticket office said, "Due to unforeseen circumstances the show was canceled". Not sure what the hell that means for us seeing this tour down south.
