I just got a copy of the Wrath of the Tyrant demo compilation.
It sounded not very much like "newer" Emperor ;)
Did nobody else notice the similiarity of some of the riffs on there and the ones on very early Ildjarn material (or maybe even more on the Ildjarn/Nidhögg albums)?

I have yet to hear much of Wrath of The Tyrant, just heard a couple songs from there like the low fi version of Cosmic Keys and Wrath of The Tyrant song.

I know about the personal connections between Ildjarn and Emperor.
But so far i only knew Anthems and had heard a glimpse of In the Nightside Eclipse, so i did not imagine that old Emperor would sound so much like Ildjarn (or the other way round), especially because those pulsating riffs fitted the earthy and animalic music of Ildjarn so well..
