Gildenlow & Hallgren
I don't know if anyone out there knows Battles, but those guys are sick. Both guitarists often hammering notes on the guitar with one hand while playing keys or other sh*t with the other hand.
other than the ones mentioned,
anders nystrom and fred norrman from katatonia
the whole thing depends on there being two guitars. it works for me.
maybe even greg macintosh and aaron aedy from paradise lost.
again no real technical stuff involved, but the guitars complement each other so well.
Tipton and Downing for sure...
Gary Moore and Scott Gorham
Steve Vai and Tony MaCalpine
WARREN HAYNES & DEREK TRUCKS
and Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and Yngwie doing Little Wing...
Hank Shermann / Michael Denner
Someone in that band is from Don Cab right? Haven't listened to them yet, but I need to.
maybe cos megadeth is a better band than cacophony. marty and jason are/were both awesome guitarists, but they didn't complete each other in a band situation as well as dave and marty did.
btw, my first choice is murray&smith, no doubt.

Yeah, Ian Williams on guitar, helluva player.
