I couldn't say.
Come to think of it, neither could I, but for the opposite reason.
One. My pants fell the first time I heard the "breakdown".
I just watched Cliff Em All for the first time ever, this past weekend. Cliff ruled!
Killer stuff. Great bass solos. It's a great collection.
i never took the time to watch that before. kick ass
Title track! First song I learned on guitar. I should've started learning something easier - it took me a couple of years to whittle away at it.
that comment was even more tongue in cheek than usual, don't worry about it
I would have a hard time choosing between any and all of these songs, it depends on the mood I am in. I think I am the only guy that LOVES the production on this album. The sound/tone of the guitar is so damn crunchy. To me this is Metallica at their best... well, right below Master of Puppets and on par with Ride the Lightning anyway.
The mellow section of To Live is to Die is so beautiful at around 5:00 and then from 5:54 to 6:22 just leaves me speechless, especially right at 6:22 listen to Kirk's guitar right before the heavy guitars come back in. That part makes me close my eyes and just soak it in every time.
Oh, yeah- all that said I voted for Blackened.
Ok, this thread made me put the album on. Maximum crunch/rich guitar sound. I love it. I wish there were other albums with this sound.
Blackened all the way, people say the breakdowns boring, fuck em haha, its amazing
Aye, man. AJFA's production is perfect, and Hetfield's vocals blend in with the guitar tone immaculately
^i pretty much agree, i also like the drumming lots
Yep, Lars' finest hour, no doubt.
It's all about the title track, with To Live is to Die coming a close second. It's also cool that every song has been picked by someone
That's a sure sign of a great album.
It's one of my favourite albums ever, and I think every song is nice but I'd say "... And Justice For All".
I still can't decide, it's absolutely perfect.
