So what was the first A.A. song you ever heard? Where were you when you heard it? Anyone remember? Ride for Vengeance was mine. I remember surfing Amazon for music and they were one of the ones someone mentioned so I bought OSFTGH.....the rest is history... So let's hear it....
My first AA song was Valhall Awaits Me. I was blown away and became a fan instantly, bought the rest of the albums in the same weeks
My first was Vallhall Awaits Me too... A friend had mentioned AA to me and I happened to see With Oden on our Side at the store, so I bought it. Pretty much became a fan instantly on the way home (I dont think my family has quite recovered from that car ride though lol)
Beheading of a King, playing around on Pandora. Ended up with a whole lot of AA in my playlist on there.
Either Bastards of a lying breed or Bleed for ancient god's at work in 2000 or 2001 Got The Avenger and The Crusher on mp3 from a colleague among a ton of other stuff when I told him I was going more and more away from "traditional heavy metal" and more into "death and black". Liked it a lot instantly, but AA didn't become my fav group until the release of vs the world. Oh yeah, I did buy the records fairly soon after listening to the mp3's for a bit... And no, I'm not gonna post pics of them to prove it.
great question. mine was fate of norns video on the main amon amarth website. after that intro i was hooked. the reason i checked them out was after hearing about them on the halford gods of metal 2003 us tour. a year later or so i got round to checking them out, and despite previously not been into death metal they soon became a huge favourite.
Mine was Death in Fire. I was surfing this metal website and the video was one there, I checked it out and love it. Great song.
Sorrow Throughout The Nine Worlds. But I'm actually not cool enough to have been with them that long, I just heard it on Pandora.
hmm Victorious March on a Metal Blade Records compilation back in 98. Became my favourite band since then
Death In Fire... because I got the album Versus the World from a friend just when it came out and that's the first song of the album... needless to say I was immediately seduced...
Cry of the blackbirds. Still a great song, but no longer one of my absolute favorites, interestingly enough.
Ancients Sign... Heard it on a compilation record and FELL IN LOVE with THE BEAUTIFUL VIKING METAL OF AA!
Same here...I then went to their website and listened to Ancient Sign Of A Coming Storm and liked them even more! I've seen them 3X now and hopefully a 4th time in April!
