    Just finished this.
Some of you might know these guys.
osum from the forum did their last one, Jordon edited the awfully busy drums on this album. Christoph from Iguana Studios handled stem-mastering.

    EDIT: Full album stream available!

Sounds great! Although there's too much reverb on the vocals for my taste, but I guess they wanted it so ;)
How many snare heads did Martin kill? :D

cool dude! quite creative band, the mix supports what the atmosphere of this kind of music is supposed to create. I like it because it doesn't sound like today's run-of-the-mill productions.

The reverb, yes. For this one the particular vocal effect was part of the song in a way. The songs from this album all sound very different from another.
Martin beat through 2 sets of emperors on the toms and an emad. Snare heads were ec2s, so they survived the sessions. ;)

Jeez. Forgot to mention the absolutely amazing job you did editing the drums for this. Pardon me!

I'll make sure you get your copy. Digipak, Jewelcase or both?
I'm sure they can include a shirt your size as well, so you can pimp some south german black metal fashion in Chicago.

    About the production:
It's a behemoth of an album. Title will be "Niedergang".
We put such an insane focus on detail for every track.
Recorded the drums in a great sounding space and the musicians really pushed themselves.
The backings on this album are very dense, lots of overdubs and programming going on.
Work on this album took about half a year, most of which where coming up with a sonic image that fit the songs and made the lyrical concept come to life.
And mixing wouldn't have been possible without Christoph from Iguana, who did stem mastering after the inevitable nervous breakdown that ensued in the final phase of mixing.

Oh, dude, no worries! Digipak would be awesome, and I'll never say no to a free shirt!

Sucking at drum editing basically. :)
Since we recorded in a very lively sounding space, not getting tons of artifacts was a challenge.

2 VTBass pedals in a distorted/clean setup. Bass reverb on this one is from a Holy Stain.
Amp was a Hartke tube top into an Ashdown 4x10, miced with a t.Bone ribbon, a 57 and a D112. Mixed with pre- and post-pedal DI.

    16th of May!
Looks like you can already order them:

Did everything but mastering, which was handled by the wonderful Justin Weis.
