The RNG Gods have spoken once again! I only had to press it twice this time to come up with a new year! It gave 1986 first, which we have already done.

This one is going to be extremely fucking tough for me! So many amazing albums!

    reminder of the rules:
    - please submit at least 5 releases.
    - first place in your rankings gets 10 points, 2nd gets 9, etcetc, 10th gets 1.
    - feel free to post more than 10, but only the top 10 will get points.
    - feel free to post less than 10, the same scoring will apply.
    - feel free not to rank your picks, in which case all ten picks will get 5.5 points.
    - if you're so much of a dick that you have to post more than 10 unranked picks, i'll work out the mathS. basically there's no way you can sabotage this so fuck you!

Would appreciate it if someone linked the RYM list.

Shit, just looking at the first 3 pages of that RYM link makes me not even want to do this year! It's going to be way too hard to narrow it down!

My wish is that Goetia gets enough votes to make the top 10. I maintain that it is the best metal album ever from Brazil, and yes that includes I.N.R.I.

My number 1 is probably set in stone already at least.

Looking at the same 3 pages tells me I probably wont be effecting the top 10 too much with my choices :p

    1) Aspid - Extravasation
    2) Pestilence - Spheres
    3) Death - Individual Thought Patterns
    4) Atheist - Elements
    5) Believer - Dimensions
    6) Obliveon - Nemesis
    7) Voivod - The Outer Limits
    8) Disciples of Power - Invincible Enemy
    9) Vulture - Easier to Lie
    Cynic - Focus

    Tool - Undertow

Aspid destroys anything this year, though the top 7 are all solid. There are lots of "pretty good" albums this year

Woah fucking nice one, wasn't expecting that!

Quoting just in case the list changes and this ranking is lost forever.

@Baroque surprised at the zero mention of Anacrusis for some reason. Not a fan?

Ha put it at #1 so unlikely I'll be changing it. Local band that I've seen play at every shithole venue in and around Chicago. Actually probably seen them live more than any other band. Killer album, their best imo.
