P.S. I like how your post implies that you'll be doing any of the math.

Weird all over the place year. TotG is my favorite Slough Feg. In past years Agalloch would have been much higher. Devourment gets number two for taking what Suffocation did before them and making it something disgusting, stupid... and a vicious knuckledragging gorefest. COPRO PHAGIA! Great Cannibal Corpse album... and a bunch of awesome black metal.

    1. The Lord Weird Slough Feg - Twilight of the Gods
    2. Devourment - Molesting the Decapitated
    3. Dornenreich - Bitter ist's dem Tod zu dienen
    4. Cannibal Corpse - Bloodthirst
    5. Paysage d'Hiver - S/T
    6. Windir - Arntor
    7. Agalloch - Pale Folklore
    8. Sabbat - Karisma
    9. Cirith Gorgor - Onwards to Spectral Defile
    10. Runemagick - Enter the Realm of Death

One of the weaker 90s year I’d say, but still good.

I don’t mind doing the results for this one either. Let me know.

Nice list. That Avenger album fucking rules. Surprised to see no mention of Bewitched - Dragonflght from you!

You’re also one of the last people I thought would be listing Deeds of Flesh!

I completely forgot about the Bewitched album, thanks for the reminder. It'll probably bump Deeds of Flesh out. I'm not often in the mood for that style of death metal but it hits the spot perfectly when I am. I should probably revisit Angelcorpse and Demoncy while I'm at it.

You’re also missing Nox Intempesta! Sort it out!

I remember that one because I discovered it was a 1999 release when trying to do my 1998 list.

Listen to this! I don’t fully understand your likes and dislikes in black metal so I’ve no idea if you’d like it. But you should give it a shot because it slays.

Is it just me, or was this a pretty shit year for death metal? I can think of Sargantus - The Enlightenment and Immolation - Failures for Gods and I need to revisit Adramelech - Pure Blood Doom and Nominon - Diabolical Bloodshed. Is there anything I'm missing?
