I agree with everyone saying there should be more Annihilator. Also, where is Toxik!?!?! I'd put Think This and World Circus right up there!!

Pfftt... Reign in Blood at #16 = list invalid.

Good to see Mortal Sin get up there. Just a reminder to everyone they're playing Sydney on June 23 at the Marquee. :headbang: [/spam]

    Whoops.

    I thought it was 11 or 15.

Wasn't paying that much attention to the numbers.

But they need more Mortal Sin in there!
More I tells ya! :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

good to see the guys here are a lot less critical than in the GMD.

like many have said before - you cant please everyone.

tankard truthfully was never considered. there are other things id have in the top 50 that arent there before tankard. same goes for things like xentrix.

i think i made reference to nuclear assault being left out in my commentary. unfortunately not enough people had heard it to rate it - so its hard to justify bringing it in, which i guess is a little disappointing. but what can you do. annihilator was the same deal.

yes, we at hailmetal worship mortal sin, but rightly so - yeah?

I think Nevermore is thrashy at many times.

Thrash influenced, but not thrash. they'd deffinately look out of place on this list.

That list says a lot about the state of thrash in recent years. It's almost all 20 years old!!! No THE HAUNTED, WITCHERY, DEW SCENTED, ARISE, SERPENT OBSCENE, RUMPLESTILTSKIN GRINDER, MUNICIPAL WASTE, CHAINSAW, DIMENSION ZERO,TOXIC HOLOCAUST, GUILOTINE et c, etc....
Don't agree with ICED EARTH being thrash, sure they have thrashy moments but then again so do bands like MORBID ANGEL, DEATH, EMPEROR and a lot of Death/Black Metal bands, but it's a thrash list. NEVERMORE? Love them dearly but no way are they Thrash.
And lastly where was VIOLATOR? What the ....? !!!!!!!
    We want justice!!!!!
    VIOLATE THEM ALL!!!!!!!!!!:headbang:

Once again the forgotten sons of thrash, the bay areas finest - Violator, are excluded. Forget your Pleasure To Kills, Bonded By Bloods, Kill Em Alls and Show No Mercys, VIOLATE EM ALL should be No 1! Dave, there shall be justice and violator for all!

Mike (Byrne) did a fantastic job as usual with the list, as did the rest of current HM staff, and the fact that this thread was generated as the result of our work is ever so satisfying. :kickass:

Thanks for everyone's feedback/comments. Look forward to sparking up more debate with our future editions.
