How do you guys psyche yourselves up before tracking?

    Back when I used to play, I'd watch "A Year and a Half in the Life of Metallica, Part 1" to get psyched. Very inspirational.



    FWIW, I've never been able to sit through the entire "Some Kind of Monster."

    There was a brief period where I did a lot of coke while tracking. I found it extremely unproductive as I spent most of the time smoking cigarettes and re-writing parts rather than actually tracking. I was also always broke.

    1. Listen to some of my favorite music with a similar vibe to what I'm tracking.
    2. Large HOT filter coffee.
    3. Light snack/breakfast.
    4. Tune guitar.

    = READY TO ROCK.

    Cans of beer also tend to come into play towards the end of a session!
