I am relatively new to metal so I’m on the lookout for good metal bands. It would be helpful if you could recommend a few of your favourite bands so that I can check them out. Thanks!

Nice, could even post a top song to listen to for many of those albums. Did we ever do a song survivor Rust In Peace?

nope, i was saving that for when we do the top ten for 1990 since more people will probably vote at that time. But who knows when that'll be.

in addition to crimsonfloyd's post, the hall of fame exists to serve this need.

Whenever you choose it. The RNG doesn't HAVE to be used every time but it helps with impartiality I guess. We really should just do 1990 next and be done with it.

This is a good example of a person demonstrating poor impulse control.

I can be pretty impulsive tbh so this isn't inaccurate but given the fact that I've only mentioned doing 1990 a handful of times doesn't prove that outright. I know others have also mentioned it too but whatever. That's the one year literally everyone on this board wants to do.

I'm team RNG. We'll get to 1990 eventually. Don't want to front-load the remaining classic years.

I wonder what would win: Holy Wars or Holy Wars?

tbf i would usually recommend some out-crowd stuff to new people, most people don’t have that naturally high metal iq and need to progress through the shallow stuff first.

So far one vote for Rust in Peace but like i said i would rather leave that for when we do the 1990 thread. I'd rather we do one from the 80's or early 90's. Preferably a year we've already done.

    Any suggestions?

edit: I think Crystal Logic would be fun, plus just about everyone here likes that album too so why not?

1990 is the best year left in the Poll series, so I’m personally hoping that the RNG gods pick it dead last to keep it spicy
