Horrible. This makes me pissed off I wasted so much creative time anticipating this. Doesn't even deserve my reply. Half of Alexi's brain died back in 2003 and this is one of the absolute low-points when his sanity just switches off. This is pure shit. Is he trying to piss off his fans or what the fuck is the point of this song...? What fuck is this shit? This is just chaotic shit. This song has sections where there should be fast double bass roam but there isn't.

I just wonder how bad songs we have on the album if this is one of the best. Unless this song grows on me massively for some weird reason, it's as bad as WIWI. Bad, Alexi. It's time to swallow your pride and go back to Silent Night, Bodom Night and start learning!!!!

 

A-fucking-greed! Bodom just got new management, and of this pukefest is what they think is a good single, I'd rahter have the old shit management back. WIWI is a lot better than this, enough said!

A friend of mine once talked with some Norwegian guy who said that they are moving their factories to Finland as there's "cheap workers" in Finalnd. Yeah, I don't think "shithole" is a good description of Norway.

 

My custom shop RR, it was expensive enough, not when you think of my income compared to the price thought, but the most expensive guitar I have at least. around 2k €/$ used.

Damn. I've been thinking about a custom guitar occasionally for the past two years, but the thing is that my income is a nice round zero as I'm not, and probably will not, be working for years yet. Also, I don't think there are many people playing custom guitars in their bedrooms I'd feel embarrassed to go anywhere with it with my strictly good-but-not-amazing skills Nearly had the same problem with the ESP I have now (Back when it was new which was 4 years ago), but I got through it with little of any "Wow, you got a new guitar! WOW! IT'S A REAL ESP!", and the underlying "How did this kid have money for it?!" questions

 

Ah...now I see why Roope got booted by the band.......he probably refused to play this garbage.

2 songs in and neither one have impressed me at all. Really glad I hadn't pre-ordered this album.

 

I have two esps as well and no LTDs anymore, but hardly any time to play with real tube amps, so kemper and acustic guitar is what I mainly do nowadays for practice, but every once in a while Ill blast my rehershal space with volume to 11

 

It seems I'll be selling it, since this shit is unacceptably bad.

Can you imagine how much worse this song is than say... Children of Decadence?

This song is like "I can be a terribly bad song simply cos I can and there's nothing you can do about it"

I'm sorry guys, it seems we lost the fight and lake Bodom is indeed destroyed, together with its trees and atmosphere. There's just nothing we can do about this disaster. This is soul-devouring, considering our epic past with this artist. Sad day for Bodom fans.

 

We can complain directly on Facebook and not show up at concerts, that would change their mind pretty quickly.

 

If the band doesn't even care to read this forum, it's confirmation they've lost their passion.

This is about it for this band. Not going to their concert ever again if the rest of the album is close to this.

First they claimed RRF was their best album, then they claimed HoB is return to the roots, now they claim IWC is dark and atmospheric and hella good...

Just fuck you for making this song and LYING to us.

I'll see the rest before making final judgement, since their single choices have been horrible before.

 

I also had high expectations for this song and got pretty much disappointed when I heard it. It's growing though the more I listen to it.

 

It's got only 3 parts (riff, verse, chorus) and keyboard solo. It lacks a beginning, an end, and a purpose. It's just a glimpse of chaos. Extremely weird. Well, let's see once a good quality version is out. Will have to listen to the other songs as well, cos these two are so different.

 

Yeah you're right. Can't do much else now than listen to these songs, hope them grow and wait for the rest.

 

Again not a single orchestral hit. Man, exciting things need to happen if this album is to live up to its credential. Do the RRF lovers like this?

 

I don't have education in any music theory or anything but this is what the song structure sounds like to me.

We cannot hear the lead guitars in high quality they are lost in the muddy radio rip but it sounds like the lead guitar melodies are quite creative and definitely have been influenced by Peter Tagtgren. The intro riff and leads during the verses are very similar to Bodom Blue Moon, Your Days Are Numbered and All Twisted (after the intro). Really it sounds like a progression of Halo of Blood and nothing like RRF.

There is most definitely NOT an outro. The song just ends and usually the chorus is repeated more than once at the end of a song. I feel that's the part that was removed to shorten it down. Maybe a solo at the end? I couldn't imagine a CoB song without Alexi doing a solo.

 

The solo is killer. It sounds like it was taken right from HCDR. The tone is quite similar to that album and listen to the solos at 2:48 of Chokehold, 2:26 of YBOD, 3:31 of Bodom Beach Terror, 2:36 of Bodom After Midnight. Very similar and this solo easily holds a candle to those.

 

I've listened to this 3 times today. Everytime Im more disappointed than before. Theres about 4 Riffs throughout. Keys are the only aspect that save it. Or even make it actually sound like a Bodom song. Its borderline pitiful for a band with as much talent as COB to make a chug fest track like this.

Also we have 2 singles and only 1 Guitar and 1Keyboard Solo. Are they done with trading off Solos too?! And we can probably forget about any Duets as well. I've spent 5 hours dissecting and discussing this today all the while being pissed off. Jonas is right, it is indeed a sad day for true Bodom fans

 

True fans not showing up won't matter. Because then more fringe fans and girls who just wanna fuck the band members will show up in our place. But I do have half a mind to write an extensive post on their wall. I can tell you it'd be more inspired than the piece of shit song they released today!!!
