You know, if you join up with Ticketek, you get early access to tickets for most tours. I got offered GNR tix about a fortnight before they went on sale. I'm assuming the same thing will happen with Maiden, and it won't cost me $60 to join.

Hmm... the Ticketek option sounds good. I might do that. Thanks Goreripper :)

In retrospect, i think a few of us were quick to jump the gun. I do still believe that if they advertise special seating for fan club members only, they'll keep their word.

Nah - I want early early. The fanclub pre-sale is earlier than the Ticketek presale.

"members of the Iron Maiden fan club get exclusive first access to purchase tickets from 12 noon Thursday 20th September through to 12 noon Monday 24th September"

    So, Fan Club
Pre-sale starts: Thurs 20 Sep, noon
Pre-sale ends: Mon 24 Sep, noon

    TICKETEK
Pre-sale starts: Tue 25 Sep, noon
Pre-sale ends*: Wed 26 Sep, noon
General public on sale: Thu 27 Sep, 9am

I'm not sure if this is old news, or simply overshadowed by the Maiden announcement, but Plant is looking to reunite Led Zep this year, with Bonham's son continuing his fathers legacy.

I shit you not :D What a great fucking day to be a rocker/metalhead (assuming this news is solid).

Only a few blocks walk from the Civic Theatre. If there's gonna be an after party, it should be at the Cambridge Hotel. It's easily the best band/music venue in the CBD area.

The Lucky's not bad though :)

Did anyone else see Napalm Death? I saw them and Blood Duster at the Corner Hotel here in Melbourne on Thursday. Good show.

Barney's a very friendly fellow too! He spent at least 5 mins shaking hands and chatting with people at the front of the stage after the show.

In case anybody is interested, there is a second Motorhead show in Sydney now. On the 7th. That's great for me, because it saves me having to travel to Newcastle and pay for accomidation down there, i'll just go to the two Sydney shows.
