Don't know what this soundwave revolution is yet, but apparently Hellyeah are confirmed
In This Moment and The Damned Things officially added to Soundwave Revolution.
I think its pretty much a guarantee now that ANTHRAX will be part of it.
That would make sense, if The Damned Things are playing it. I read today that Soundwave Revolution is a move to bury No Sleep til, but that wouldn't be difficult if what I heard about that is even partly true.
Sounds very likely Gore - apparently (according to a post on faster louder) the organiser of Soundwave is trying to monopolise the festival circuit:
"Not to mention the rumour that he's tying every band on the lineups into 18 month contracts so they can't tour here with other promote"
Oh, and HELLYEAH have been officially confirmed - nice catch JetHead
That makes sense to me actually.
Devin Townsend is coming to Australia for Soundwave Revolution.
Lineup is starting to get interesting at last
He just announced he would be in Oz on Twitter this year but nothing about that.
Hope that he does side shows.
He used the swRevolution hashtag - its definitely for Soundwave Rev:
Faster Louder's list is being updated constantly:
Currently, In This Moment and Devin are enough to get me there. Would definitely checkup Hellyeah, Damned Things, Whitechape and Sum 41 if they don't clash. Most of the other bands there I've never even heard of
These soundwave guys are going pretty hard out.
It would worry me that they go too hard and run out of steam if you know what I mean (lol rhymes)
Andrew Haug commented on Facebook that "the best is yet to come" so hopefully the rumoured biiiiiiig rock/metal names (ie Alice Cooper) are coming!
I might go if Alice was playing.
On another note, Tumbleweed are set to play more shows in June.
They're also supporting Kyuss Lives - in Sydney at least - in May
Steel Panther confirmed for Soundwave Revolution
I hope they do side shows, cause I was'nt overly enthused by my SOUNDWAVE experince for MAIDEN
Agreed. Would be far better to see Steel Panther in a smaller pub/club environment.
Had a mate see SP in LA three weeks ago and they said they are playing in Australia in October.
Nevermore have cancelled their upcoming North American tour. Not sure what that means for their Oz tour:
EDIT: According to a facebook friend "all future touring plans" are off, so yeah. Pants
Given the lack of details in the announcement, everyone's speculating that there's either been a death in the band or Warrel's back in rehab again
I emailed the promoter Red Ant and just got a reply saying only the American dates have been cancelled, so it should be all good!
