HAHAHA - sorry MB, its tied specifically to my name.

ANNND I AM BOOKED!!! Confirmed booked, and paid for!!

Thanks to the ridiculously strong exchange rate, the US cost of $2666.10 for the two person cabin for the wife and I, will cost less than $2,500 Australian. Not bad for 5 days accommodation, 40 bands doing two gigs each, all your food, and non carbonated (ie juice, tea/coffee, water) drinks.

EDIT: Also, if you are serious, you should register on the official forum. There are currently other Aussies looking for cabin mates!

In other news, contrary to what the Australian tour promoter said, surely this means the Australian NEVERMORE tour is off?

I'll be in LA next year so I think I might make my way over to this awesome event. I saw Grave Digger at Wacken last year and was blown away.

70,000+ fans signing Tunes of War. Amazing! :D

It's a mental week for music. Some good, some bad.

New additions for SWR are Thrice and... Cro-Mags!

Don't know how many would be too pumped to see them but for mine "Age Of Quarrel" is probably just about the greatest punk/metal crossover album ever.

Finally, a band I can get into on the Revolution bill.

    Sorry :( Official now:

    Red Ant Touring
As you may have read last week over the internet, Jeff Loomis and Van Williams have left Nevermore. This has meant that all tour plans including Australia have been postponed indefinitely. Anyone who has bought a ticket can get a refund from the ticketing agency they purchased from. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this has caused their fans.

    EDIT:
Watain added to Soundwave Revolution lineup!

dum dum dum dum , another tour bites the dust.
another one down ,and another one down , now the promoter is in jail .
ooohh another fizzer, poo , another tour bites the dust.

Seriously , aside from my shit immature humour , this is a fucken disgrace.
By the way some of these half wit fuck holes operate, I reckon I will put half the energy they use, raise Elvis from the dead, have him play toilets, give him plenty of peanut butter for the rider and then on the side have him do instore meet and greets at every major 7-11 while pulling slurpees.

    For fucks sake!

Supposedly LA Guns are still playing in Melbourne, someone stepped in to help them but no where else will get them.

Aside from the promoters there has been lots of other bullshit going on behind the scenes, lots of threats made between people. Some fucking terrible stuff.

Feel sorry for the Canberra support because they are cool dude. :(
But they will be playing at the Basement tomorrow night though. :headbang:

Problem is this .........just because the Australian dollar is higher than the US dollar does not mean every imbecile can arrange a tour over a few spliffs or pats on the back.
Now even more will people only buy tickets from the respected metal concert promoters, I feel sorry for the metal concert promoters here who do a great job , dont fuck around and bring the bands here.
Problem is every promoter now here has a stain on their rep, even new up and coming promoters who have their shit together and want to do the right thing, will have a rough time.
    It makes me fucken livid.
P.S dont feel sorry for the Canberra support , chances are they were not going to be paid anyways by the way the whole circus was unfolding, feel happy for them that they saved their money.

I feel sorry for how they've been constantly fucked around by these so called promoters.

It like that shit with that prick Alex from a few years back when he got some big bands out (Doro was one of them I think) and then vanished with some cash and such, ripping a whole bunch of people off.

It makes things look terrible down here and means you'll get bands more reluctant to tour.

To be honest, things in the scene seem so like they did 7 years ago and they were getting massively fucked up. :(

I dont know Alex or know of anything in regards to the Doro tour ,so I cant say anything and in a public forum it would not be wise to speculate.
As for your friends band I hope that they didnt shell out any cash and hopefully they take it as a learning curve, its easy for bands to get disheartened with shit like this happening , but they can look at it in a positive manner and be more wise for next time.
There are many Aussie bands that have been ripped off , I cant even imagine how many times VP was ripped off as well , it would be crazy but at the end of the day it really proves nothing and we had to give ourselves an upper cut for being stupid many times, especially with ALOT of money we had lost.
Sometimes you believe so strong in people that all logic flies out the window and then reality hits when you look at the band bank account and there is nothing but moths in it.
As wanky as it sounds , it is all about enjoying the music you play , if I were in it for financial gain then I would have diversified many years ago.

Just to clarify, Alex had nothing to do with the Doro tour - that was a completely different imbecile. That was more so incompetence rather than being a lying thieving cunt like Alex was.
