Come catch Hemina on their upcoming tour in support of our debut album 'Synthetic'.
just a heads-up that the Soundwave 2012 lineup is to be announced tomorrow night.
Current lineup is looking like this:
Evanescence, Marilyn Manson, and Offspring are strongly rumoured to be on the bill.
Nothing there so far that will get me to spend $150+ for a ticket....
Hmmm yeah there's some cool stuff, but it's lacking all round awesomeness. They'll have a hard time topping FNM and Iron Maiden as headliners.
Trivium, Mastodon and Machine Head are already enough to get me there!!!
Yeah the lineup is NUTSASAURUS!!
Soundwave2012 first announcement:
System of a Down
a Day to Remember
Lamb of God
Angels & Airwaves
You Me at Six
Devin Townsend Project
Forever the Sickest Kids
Dillinger Escape Plan
Zakk Wyldes Black Label Society
Saves the Day
the Sisters of Mercy
Four Year Strong
Black Veil Brides
Times of Grace
Heroes for Hire
the Dangerous Summer
I Am the Avalanche
River City Extension
13 bands I want to see. New record
I shouldn't complain but..
Can we have a band that hasn't been out here before? (excluding Steel Panther of course).
+100 to that above! There are so many bands that are way overdue to come here!
I'd love to see Steel Panther though. But yeah I agree, new bands (to Australia) would be better than ones which have been here already. There's certainly enough there to entertain me for a day though.
Plus Brian will be able to see Black Veil Brides if he goes.
Don't get me wrong, yes, decent mix of stuff and some bands I'd be keen on seeing - even being able to see Dragonforce with new singer is good but it would have been nice to have a few more new stuff (like Iced Earth maybe or a Symphony X?) into the mix. Something with a bit of a challenge.
Still, after the all the issues with SWRev and with such big names last year, maybe a safe line-up was a better option for them.
Nothing apart from Steel Panther that would make me want to go to that, I'm afraid.
THIS festival on the other hand: http://www.rewindfestival.com.au/
Midge Ure (Ultravox)
Tony Hadley (Spandau Ballet)
+ more and there's supposed to be one more headliner to be announced. And it's less than 1km away from my house!!
SO. FUCKING. EXCITED.
I've kinda warmed to them a bit.
Oh dear i dont know if i should love you or hate you right now. I know of them because of that terrible movie i saw of theirs years ago on SBS. Perhaps i sohuld go see if they've learnt to use their instruments yet
Nice one LT ... Enjoy ....
Kembla Grange ... interesting location.
The shit is really hitting the fan over the Rewind festival:
Weak. As. Piss.
What the hell is it at the moment, fuckhead season in concertland? Has someone been putting big dumb "LOOK AT ME I'M A PROMOTER" badges in cornflake boxes or something?
I think this is more proof that 9 out of 10 promoters are clueless dickholes. Fucking pissed off.
I shot a message to Kim Wilde a little earlier tonight about this and she had no idea that things had even changed let alone were going to shit. As much as I reaaaaallllly want to see her come down here, I'd rather she didn't come and not get fucked over. Good effort for not arranging Human League's visas too, morons.
I don't think I'll bother contacting consumer affairs about getting a refund on this. It's gonna crash and burn in the next couple of weeks for sure.
