    oh come on Forbes. that new Mono record was great. but, a good part of the credit has to go to Albini.

    Forbes, have you seen Mono live? maximum volume does help.

    I agree that Mono are overrated, though some of their stuff is quite pleasing they're pretty much generic post-rock. Can't wait for the new Isis, though, even though Dulcinea doesn't really show much of a progression from the Panopticon material...

    I dig mono but their last album left a lot to be desired. I'm pretty sick of the quiet/loud combination. Bands like that have severely overstayed their welcome for me.

    Mono, is really only worth the hype in a live setting....i saw them with pelican a while back, and they actually almost made me want to buy the album....but everytime I think about doing so....I literally forget in the time it takes me to walk to the "M" section.

    EITS is better.

    And Isis' Celestial...was ok, Panopticon was better.
