Got these at Wacken for about $3 each.

    Blackguard - Profugus Mortis
Annotations Of An Autopsy - The Reign Of Darkness
    Doro - Calling the Wild
    Doro - Fight
    Kotipelto - Coldness
Nuclear Blast All Stars - Out of the Dark
    Ministry - Rantology

I also finally got my hands on Sodom's 'Lords of Depravity' Part I and II for $30. I love European summer festivals and there ridiculous prices.

Oh and in the interests of supporting local metal, I've got a pre-order in for:

Divin Ascension - As The Truth Appears

And although official pre-orders aren't being taken yet, I've expressed interest in pre-ordering the debut cd from:

    Alpine Fault

Saw 'em open for Lord last year at Rosies and they were excellent!

They're having their CD launch on Friday October 14 at the Espy. Flier to be released soon. Hopefully they'll play around the country before long. :)

Oh, and Virgin Steele's new album is a real stinker. Hope you get something out of it. And Edguy's is pretty shithouse too. :(

I've *ahem* "previewed" both albums already and really really like them!

As far as EDGUY goes, yeah its not as good as Avantasia but enjoyable.

And as far as V.S. is concerned I'd never even heard of 'em before they got added to the 70,000 Tons of Metal 2012 lineup. So I don't know how Black... compares to their early stuff, just know that I listened and I liked what I heard :)

Lock in Invictus and two Atreus albums (both but particularly Atreus Act I). The two Marriage albums are very good too.

As for Edguy: personal preference. Rocket Ride was their worst and Tinnitus was a step in the right direction but still not great. This falls somewhere between the two.

Sounds like I'll like it then!!

Picked up the new Dream Theater and Opeth the other day.

For DT I think the new drummer is good but he's nowhere near as interesting to listen to than Portnoy. The album is so so as well

I'm enjoying Opeth a lot more I think. That song Slither is a mind fuck. I haven't herd Opeth tackle a song like that since their very early stuff.
