I love you Jeremy.
Wow! I think you guys just stole the title from Sweden for fastest Maiden ticket buyers in the world. It would be awesome if they broadcast one of these shows live on the internet.
Well I finally relented... my best man mentioned wanting to go and a lightbulb went off over my head. Bought him and myself tickets as his "thank you" gift for the wedding. Only problem is I selected "City Box Office Pick Up" by accident. I'm gonna have to see if I can find a couple of hours tomorrow to go into the city and get them.
Well they haven't been here for 15 frickin' years! Plus, that article probably failed to mention that tickets for fan club members had gone on sale 10 days earlier, and Ticketek "special offer" sales opened two days previously. So essentially, most of the tickets were already gone by the time the 27th rolled around.
i have never liked the Idea of buying Tickets off ebay, and reckon Ticketek are well with there right to cancell the ticket,
cavet emptor ... bad luck i'd say ...
My friend who just moved out to Aus managed to get a hold of Maiden tickets...
It's kind of ironic that someone moves from a country where Maiden plays all the time to one they haven't played in a decade and a half and they immediately get tickets to their tour.
I made that mistake on the Heaven and Hell tour. Well i thought it would've been ok because i assumed (should never do that, i know) Newcastle had an outlet for collection, but they didn't.
So i rang Ticketek and got them to post up the tickets instead. Worked out fine.
Yeah rang them this morning and sorted it all out.... wish I had the time to go pick them up today so I could present the ticket tomorrow instead of just saying "We're going to Maiden" haha
Very bloody Ironic, should be allowed to go on Principle
And she just saw live this past June... courtesy of me.
I bought her ticket.
You're right. Considering the 15 year absence and fan club special, the ticket sales really aren't that surprising. They sell out shows incredibly fast in places like Sweden despite playing there multiple times every year. That's what's impressive.
I have two good silver seats in the lower section, just behind the gold bit for the first Melbourne show going spare. I don't have a ticket to the second show, and don't want to sit right up the back (the only tickets left). So, if anyone hears of anyone with similar tickets to mine wanting to swap, please let me know!
If anyone has or knows of someone who has 4 tickets to the Maiden show in Melbourne (either show) could you please let me know, as I have a friend who has been away for a while and returned to find she missed out on tickets.
Looks like the support has been announced:
Lauren Harris — daughter of IRON MAIDEN bassist Steve Harris — has been confirmed as the support act for IRON MAIDEN on the first leg of next year's Somewhere Back In Time World Tour.
Says MAIDEN manager Rod Smallwood, "We're very happy to have Lauren and band travelling with us again this year and be part of this great tour as after all she is literally part of the 'MAIDEN family.' Everywhere she performed with us last year she received a great reaction in front of both MAIDEN audiences and festival crowds as well and it's also good to have a support band along with us throughout this first leg of the tour as part of the travelling party our 757 which as you can see on the website is taking shape very nicely!"
That's just ludicrous.
Im sure she's good an all, but yeah, we want local acts thanks.
Give her a chance guys...
