OK, we seem to have found everything else we need from this forum in one way or another so why not this, hey? How it stands is this: LORD, like Dungeon, is self-managed. We do a pretty good job and we know what we want and what to do to get it. However, there's only so many hours in a day. We all work, we all write and perform and basically, it's an added workload that is taking away from our primary job of being one of the best bands of our genre, especially so that in a way LORD is a "new" band so we need do some work to get out there and make people see that it's the same kind of thing Dungeon was, etc. What we're after is basically a manager. Now, while a professional, well-connected manager is absolutely desirable, at the end of the day we don't have the money to hire a big gun - we'd much prefer to channel that money into touring or putting out albums for you guys. So what we require is someone we can work with, essentially another pair of hands, who is able to take on a lot of the tasks which we all do so we can concentrate on LORD more. We can show you how to deal with the industry, tell you who to contact, etc. etc. so prior management experience isn't required, just intelligence and a willingness to work hard and learn. Your jobs would involve: Contacting promoters, labels, media, etc. in regards to gig bookings, promotion, maintaining band awareness, contract negotiations, etc. Discussing future ventures with the band and putting them into action. Basic banking and accounting (like collecting gig money, and putting it into a bank account, and keeping track of what we earn/spend) Budgeting and event planning (do we have the money to tour to Willcannia? Yay! Now is it wise to spend that money to do that?) Act as a general starting point for third-parties to interract with the band. You will be mature, well spoken, well written, well presented, intelligent and honest. We would prefer someone in the Sydney or Wollongong area so we can meet face to face regularly to discuss plans. There's no money in this as such, although we're willing to offer a percentage of any income that is generated from your work, and all costs involved in doing your job will of course be covered. If this is you, contact email@example.com And please, serious enquiries only. If you're not up to the job for any reason then don't contact us. We would rather get NO replies than 10 inappropriate ones. Cheers!
