    MASTERPLAN - NEW ALBUM PUMPKINGS FEATURING RE-RECORDED HELLOWEEN SONGS DUE IN JUNE

    "...Masterplan are back with a new CD of re-recorded Helloween classics, featuring songs that the band’s founder, chief songwriter and guitarist, Roland Grapow, performed on during his time with Helloween.

    Entitled PumpKings, the album consists of songs originally featured on the Halloween albums Pink Bubbles Go Ape (1991), Chameleon (1993), Master Of The Rings (1994), The Time Of The Oath (1996) and The Dark Ride (2000). PumpKings will be released on June 30th via AFM Records. Artwork and tracklisting below...."

    Yikes - that did not sound good at all. Love Rick as a vocalist but not sure his voice fits the old helloween songs.

    I don't think it was TERRIBLE, but the whole album is (frankly) unnecessary. Honestly, though, it's probably better than that "Unarmed" collection Helloween themselves put out.....

    Weirdly, I actually liked "Unarmed". It was definitely a curve ball.

    Not all that bad sounding to me.

    But...*sigh*...how about a disc of new material instead of rehashing what's already been rehashed?
