    I was wondering if something was wrong with that expression. Shouldn't it just be 'sow'? Love learning everyday English.

    They were alright until the late 70s. Then they turned to sellout pop rock shit.

    I always thought it was "sewing" but I never gave much attention to the spelling.

    You sew patches onto a jacket. You sow seeds to grow a garden. You're welcome to try sewing seeds onto your jacket, but it would probably turn you into a magnet for pigeons.
