I whipped these bad boys up today!

They show you how to create drum samples in which you can adjust each microphone's volume separately.

Here's what they are in order:

    1. Tracking/Exporting workflow (I recommend watching this, might save you lots of time)
    2. Creating Drumagog .GOGs
    3. Creating Trigger .TCIs
    4. Creating Kontakt .NKIs (with Battery)

    1.

I hope you find them useful!

    Thanks! Good Job, dude!
How did you change the size of the wav in reaper, without changeing the volume? (I'm on PC but it's probably about the same way)..

Also, with Battery you should be able to throw in all the samples at the same time, instead of adding one at a time..
You can also throw in many samples in the window where you change the velocities and also right-click to auto adjust all the velocities.. saves time..

Thanks a lot! I really like your video on removing the ring from recorded drums. Very helpful!

All of the ReaPlugins are free on Cocko's website.

    Get ReaFir here for free:

Unfortunately it looks like the ReaPlugs on the Cockos site are windows only, so probably a no go for Logic... which can't run VSTs easily anyway. :p

Cool vids man, thanks. One minor detail I wanted to ask about, shouldn't you reverse the phase of the mic underneath the tom to be the same as the top mic? Won't that be out of phase the way you have it?
    Thanks.

The bottom microphone is phase reversed in the video. The blue dot on the second channel down is the phase reverse button.

I just figured people that don't know to phase reverse top and bottom mics will firstly youtube: "why do my drums sound like dog shit" before "how to make drum samples" :D

Should I make more video tutorials? Anyone finding these useful? I was thinking of doing one on tracking/editing/mixing drums, start to finish.
