Noooooo, but Bush would have deserve that...
I guess Br00tal would go with Vidkun Quisling
What has Obama done in order of stopping the war?
Why not? Well not the Novel prize, but some other prize maybe. Even though he's already dead. He deserves much more respect. He wasn't bad guy IMO.
I'm just saying... Bush was so terrible, in my opinion, that he would have deserved a "Nobel for wars". A negative prize, yes.
The way I see it is, that americans think that Obama is some kinda "hero" after Bush, but in the end they don't differ so much.
that is all.
dumb my pals
The stupidest thing about this is that the deadline for being nominated was only 11 days after he was officially made president and brought into office.
I don't think anyone thinks that. Nobody that I know thinks he's any kind of hero, anyway. But, looking at the bright side- most of the people here, in america, were finally tired of Bush's shit and at least decided to give someone with different ideas a try. I mean, we could have elected John McCain, and that would have really sucked, haha. I know a lot of people who voted for McCain, too, though... =\
Holy shit. I don't think I care about the nobel peace prize anymore. =\
If I were a citizen I'd vote for McCain. Bush may have been a dick, but the democratic party agenda is just /facepalm
At least, when I was reading it, it felt like it was written by people with no knowledge of how international relations work.
In the light of the crisis though, it may have been a good thing, since the democrats are more likely to be Keynesian. Although I doubt the Republicans would do much worse.
Although, the Obama hype was ridiculous, especially since a lot of people supporting him could not explain "why?". The election was a fine example of the ridiculousness of the American electoral system that puts the candidate's image, resources and effort put into ads and stuff way over the ideas and agenda he stands for. [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Politics-Lost-American-Democracy-Trivialized/dp/0385510276"]Joe Klein[/ame] would be delighted (he probably was).
Yes, I'm sure you have much better under standing of how international relations work than the Democratic party :Smug:
The majority of McCain voters were racists and bible bashers. e.g. People who take Glenn Beck, Bill O' Reilly and Fox News seriously. uke:
Obama is atleast trying to make America a better place. As for Nobel peace prize, I wouldn't go that far.
Jesus died LOL
"National boundaries are not evident when we view the Earth from space. Fanatical ethnic or religious or national chauvinisms are a little difficult to maintain when we see our planet as a fragile blue crescent fading to become an inconspicuous point of light against the bastion and citadel of the stars."
I didn't bother to read all the replies, but just because he's less aggressive than Bush doesn't make him deserve this. A president of a country which is in war doesn't deserve a peace price.
"Without corpses, there is no war, and without war there is no VICTORY!!"
Obama is going to drive this country down like the Horse did to that guy in mr. hands.
Even him didn't want that
