BREEEE BREE BREE! I AM xXx.AHRDCORE.xXx</3
I voted the last option btw. Because I like old and new school metal for different reasons, there are situations when I want one or the other, but I can't decide on what is "better" for me. If I absolutely had to I would say oldschool because without it new school wold be impossible:)

If old school means primitive, then I wouldn't say I prefer that, it can be nice on occasion though. If old school means traditional, that's more towards what I like. Technical can be good (ie. Death), but the new school of über-brutal hyper technical stuff doesn't do much for me. Generally I do have a preference for a certain level of sophistication in my music, Death Metal included.

I like quite some classic melodic (Swedish) Death Metal as well, Dissection, Eucharist, Dark Tranquillity, Unanimated, classic In Flames etc.

Classical? But that would refer to classical music as in Beethoven right?

I meant classic as in 'a classic album'. You can't say 'a classical album' right..?

I don't see the need to choose. There are great as well as shit bands in both categories. The older bands were more original but there are modern bands that absolutely introduces new stuff. Just look at Infinitum and Benighted. Oh wait, no one likes Infinitum. Too many riffs

I quite like some classic melodic ;)

Honestly, I'm pretty anal about grammar, but as I'm sure you've noticed from my posts, and from what I've read on my training blog, I'm FAR from perfect. At least you're not spelling tomorrow "tomarrow" or interchanging "then" and "than".
