    The Swedes knew very well back in the day how to create an utterly down-tuned and downright bulldozer heavy Death Metal, didn't they? ;)

    Yes, Slaughter indeed had that "buzzsaw" sound on Strappado, which is classic in my book, too, but the Swedes started using it in their sounds more largely in the late eighties. :)

    Indeed, Slaughter did it first though (and did it better IMO). Nihilist ruled of course.
