    Yeah but Roadrunner are pricks and can do a lot of damage to bands. The End Records would be OK. Just as long as they don't get raped. Who knows, maybe Roadrunner would see how good they are and force the other bands on the catalogue to be better, thus changing the popular metal scene from nu-metal to melodic death metal. Then there wouldn't be so many slipknot fans running around. Opeth is already very popular with a lot of nu-metal fans already, not to say they're nu-metal, but seeing that maybe Roadrunner wouldn't try to lay down their shit on them.

    But this is only a rumour.

    The thing is, it's ONLY a rumor. One guy comes along and just says "d00d, rudrunner!" and all of a sudden we have a 3-page thread lending it credibility.

    DUDE!! i dotn know where you've been.. but nu metla has been dead.. and all the new stuff coming out of roadrunner and the rest of the metal labels.. sounds just like Melodic Death Metal.

    Bah, Roadrunneraretrying desparately to stay afloat now that Nu-metal is dying on itsarse, but remember boys and girls the new Obituary album will be released via Roadrunner so at least they have 1 good lablemate.

    Although as for lable pressure... well RR signed Cradle and then they suddenly started sounding like Nu-metal... It can happen, but in Opeth's case it won't

    Maybe if Opeth do sign with them they'll see how good their music is and start forcing Nickleback, Slipknot and the rest to be better. Nickleback's singer trying to a death metal growl, hah that'd be worth seeing

    Haha.

    Nickleback are an underground death metal band who are renowned for their passionate live shows and 'doin' it for the music attitude'. Their singer is a really good death metal vocalist, maybe a future rival to Mikael, he's damn good.
