Ahhh. places I've lived.... I'll just update my original post.... later.
Is this place still available?
No. Mad Max was filmed in Melbourne.
These are some of the places I have lived. The others are part of Xena's list.
While I was searching for those links, I also checked out the one for Mirambeena Regional Park. At the bottom is a photo of a "Strange Sign". It is a strange sign, but only because it's still there and the exercise equipment that it used to illustrate was removed years ago.
The estate is the first listed, The Boardwalk
Longest lived in- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laverton,_Victoria
Never live again- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Albans,_Victoria
Wasn't funny when my parents and sister had to pay an extra few hundred dollars for insurance just because of the move
It's an old in-joke. You needed to be here about three years ago to get it.
Are we talking about some guy who owned a record label and is making a film, perhaps?
Other places i've lived.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cairo - Cairo, Egypt. I lived out in the middle of nowhere in some rich area in massive house through my first few years of life, and then in the city center for afew months when I visited my dad back in 2001
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boronia,_Victoria - There was a folk of seagulls, and thats about. Not the most exciting town, but close to one of the most biggest and ridiculous shopping centers in Australia, Knox City.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Upper_Ferntree_Gully,_Victoria - I was born in Upper Ferntree Gully. Shane Warne was also born here.
This is where I was born. The name comes from the Greek words philos meaning love and adelphos meaning brother. "The City of Brotherly Love" Kind of ironic these days with its 'murder a day' reputation.
This is where I currently live.
I don't get the joke (having not been here back then) but I know who you're talking about. I was pretty tripped out when I heard they/ he was based there.
Steve wears his St Albans residency like a badge of honour.
This was as close as I could get to a suburb, I live in Nakara, which is in red
More broadly speaking:
You're a writer. Create an article.
Although, it is Wikipedia we're talking about. You don't even have to be literate to write something there.
Although he doesn't actually live in St. Albans (he grew up there), he's in Sydenham, which is just up the road a bit.
Haha. OK. The way that he used to present St. Albans as the Mecca of Australian metal, I thought he must still live there. I don't want to stir things up with Steve, in case you're watching, but that always struck me as being somewhat over-the-top.
Without taking it too much off topic here, Steve is all about going over the top with everything he does (sometimes in a good way, sometimes in a bad way! HAHA!).
Actually, he's got a few over the top things planned that I can't talk about right now that will be definitely one of the "good things" coming up in the near future...
So back to Wiki Suburbs!
My official hometown, and where i would like to be right now...
Where i spent my time from dec '00 - oct '02
The main central area of my life from dec '00 - august '05
Yay, big city life....
and now here's this big one......
you'll probably get stabbed just reading that last one...
