ok sounds like a fun thread

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Umina - I was born in Gosford and we lived in Umina until I was about 6. I went to Umina public school until mid-year 1.
Stuarts Point doesn't even HAVE a a wiki entry it's that bad, haha. I lived there until I was 12 or so
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Port_Macquarie - lived in Port Macquarie from age 12 until I was 19. like the rest of the mid-north coast of NSW, it sucked.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surfers_Paradise - I lived in Surfers for just over a year. Good times, lots of booze.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parkwood,_Queensland - As you can see, Parkwood is a well-known suburb
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marrickville - lived here, worked here, etc
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cronulla - where I am now

This was a reall asshole of a place to live (where I spent HighSchool):
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narrabri

The Australia telescope was cool though- I worked there for a while.

I was born here (and went to University). The air pollution comment is crap- who doesn't like the smell of woodsmoke in winter?? [quietly kicks flannos under the bed] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armidale I love this place, but my wife will never move there

Armidale looks amazing! Reminds me a lot of Williamsport, PA.

Oh man do I miss that place. I think you'd like Williamsport, PA. If you can find a spot out in the country where you can look out at the horizon... it's breath taking. It's very green and the mountains are gorgeous! It's just so peaceful. I loved living there. My mom's half of the family lives out there and we only get to see them once a year if were lucky. I think we are heading out there this fall. I'll take some pictures of the country side and other good spots and maybe post them.

I miss that place a lot.

Williamsport looks like my kind of place. About 15 miles East of Armidale is "gorge country" lots of 800+ ft deep ravines, rivers, sections of temperate rainforest. 2.5 hrs drive to the beach and 5hrs to Briz or 6 hrs to Syd. I also used to live in a little gold mining town called Hillgrove- and explore the old mines etc. Unfortunately nobody will pay me ridiculous amounts of money to work in Armidale!! Mail me some pix when you get back!

Ok, for the really bored, check out http://203.125.24.210/junk/

These are pictures I took around Armidale (except for the beach shot of my dad fishing!). Southern Cross.jpg (for those northern hemisphere people) is the bright pink diamond shaped constellation at the bottom of the photo- as sung about by Dungeon in the song of the same name...

I like it here, but am only here till my mate comes back from overseas. We're housesitting while he's away, paying half rent. Looking for a place at the moment...it's difficult. He pays $395 per week. Bit pricey, and it's going up to $440 in October!

    Ouch! Thats abit pricey.

I hoping to look for a place in Blackburn, not a bad area and i'll be close to all my mates and everything I need. Still deciding though, might look around somemore and see what I can find.

    Wanna move in together? lol!

Haha my wife might have something to say about that. ;) Yeah Blackburn's pretty good, and it's a lot closer to the city than the peninsula!
